Eventide ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Eventide mobile application ("App"). By using the App, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.
No one at Eventide can read your journal entries. Your entries are encrypted on your device before being stored or transmitted. Our cloud infrastructure uses security rules that restrict access exclusively to your authenticated account. No employee, contractor, algorithm, or third party can access, view, or analyze the content of your journal. Your private thoughts remain private — always.
Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication credentials. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google's authentication service. We do not store your Google password.
Journal Entries & Mood Data: Your journal entries, mood scores, guided prompt responses, and AI-generated reflections are stored in encrypted form. These are associated with your account solely to provide the App's functionality (syncing, insights, reflections). We do not read, review, mine, analyze, or monetize your journal content in any way.
Subscription Data: If you subscribe to Eventide Premium, payment processing is handled entirely by Google Play. We receive only your subscription status (active/inactive) and the type of plan — never your payment card details, billing address, or financial information.
Device Information: We may collect your device type, operating system version, and app version for crash reporting and compatibility purposes. This data is anonymous and cannot be used to identify you.

Eventide generates reflections based on your journal entries to support self-awareness and personal growth. Important details about how this works:
Active accounts: Your data is retained as long as your account is active and you choose to keep it. You can delete individual entries at any time from within the App.
Account deletion: You may delete your account at any time through Settings in the App. Upon deletion:
Inactive accounts: We may delete accounts that have been inactive for more than 24 months, after providing 30 days' notice to your registered email address.
Eventide uses a minimal set of third-party services, each chosen for their privacy practices:
We do not use: Google Analytics, Facebook SDK, advertising networks, crash reporting services that transmit user content, or any other tracking or analytics tools.
Eventide is intended for users aged 16 and older. The App includes an age verification gate that requires users to confirm they are at least 16 years of age before creating an account or using the service.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 16. If we become aware that a user under 16 has provided us with personal information, we will promptly delete their account and all associated data.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 16 has used Eventide, please contact us immediately at support@reflektapp.net and we will delete the account.
Eventide is operated from the United States. If you are accessing the App from outside the United States, please be aware that your data may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States where our servers are located.
For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland: We process your personal data on the legal basis of contractual necessity (to provide the service you signed up for) and legitimate interest (to improve and secure the App). You have additional rights under GDPR including the right to access, rectify, port, restrict processing of, and delete your personal data. Contact us to exercise these rights.
